NEET UG 2025: Expected Cut-Off and Key Insights for Aspirants

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the NEET UG 2025 exam on May 4. Now, thousands of medical aspirants across the country are eagerly awaiting the answer keys, results, and the all-important cut-off scores for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and other medical programs in government colleges.

Based on trends from previous years, the expected NEET UG 2025 cut-off for the General category could range between 720–162, similar to last year’s cut-off. In 2024, the General category cut-off increased from 720–137 (in 2023) to 720–162, reflecting a rise in overall competition. Likewise, the OBC, SC, and ST categories are expected to see a cut-off range of 161–127, up from 136–107 in 2023.

These cut-offs are percentile-based, determined in relation to the highest scores in the all-India merit list. For NEET UG 2025, the minimum qualifying percentile remains 50th for the General category, and 40th for SC, ST, and OBC categories.

NTA is set to release the provisional answer key in May, followed by the final results and answer key in June. The final NEET UG 2025 cut-off will be announced along with the result.

As per academic experts the cut-offs are subject to variation based on exam difficulty and overall student performance. Candidates are advised to stay updated on the official NEET website for timely notifications and announcements.
