Duration of MBBS in the USA

The MBBS duration in the USA is 5.5 years. MBBS or MD (Doctor of medicine) consists of 4.5 years of intensive practical and theory training and the last duration of the course includes medical exposure. After a bachelor degree in MBBS from the USA, the students will be qualified as MD. Students can venture into various fields after MD like specialisation, PG or residency programme. During the medical course in the USA, students need to appear for the USMLE exams, only after completing the USMLE exam (that are in 3 levels), the student’s MBBS degree is completed.
