Eligibility Criteria for Study in Singapore
- Both your Class 10th and Class 12th academic results must demonstrate scores between 90 and 95 percent.
- Student applicants without Class 12th completion need to submit their predicted examination scores.
- Some universities such as SIM, NUS and Yale-NUS mandate students to provide advanced placement test results.
- When applying you must demonstrate very high SAT results. Students who have graduated from state-based educational institutions need to present their SAT assessment results.

Singapore study visa process
Every foreign student attending Singapore must have a “Student Pass” visa to continue their studies. The process includes:
- Your first step must be to gain admission at a recognized educational institution in Singapore from a university to a polytechnic.
- Students must apply for their visa after acceptance by connecting to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or Ministry of Manpower (MOM) online
- Students need to provide their passport together with the institution’s acceptance letter and proof of funding passport photos and health insurance documents.
- The approval process for your application requires a waiting time that normally spans several weeks.

Students who attended English-medium institutions and achieved more than 75% marks in English do not need to present their IELTS or TOEFL results to universities. A few universities maintain their stance to request these scores.
Universities accepting students for their undergraduate programs typically need a band score ranging from 6.0 to 6.5 in the IELTS examination. Candidates applying for Master’s programs must show bands between 6.5 and 7.0 in the IELTS exam.
After graduation, you can obtain a Long-Term Visit Pass in Singapore which enables you to conduct job searches while living there. A work visa will become available after you secure employment in Singapore.
The admission process requires you to present evidence of funds that cover both your education costs and daily expenses. Students need to demonstrate bank funds ranging from S$10,000 to S$20,000 (equivalent to ₹5 to ₹10 Lakhs).
