Step 1: Register with UCAS

• Begin by signing up on the UCAS Hub and choose the year you wish to apply then select Undergraduate level from the options.
• Begin by logging into your UCAS Hub dashboard then navigate to the ‘Your application’ section where you can click on ‘Start.’.
• Apply your official documentation name in full. Students with a single name should fill in both first and last name fields.
• Use your designated buzzword to connect your university application with your school or college.

Step 2: Complete Personal Details

• Your application needs to contain complete information for all required sections before you submit it.
• Maintaining your email up-to-date allows you to receive crucial updates from the system.
• Check the UKCISA website before filling out residency status for non-UK students.
• Students applying from the UK need to respond to questions regarding their ethnic background after being accepted but before enrollment.
• Share your personal background details about care experience or parental education with universities to obtain additional support.
• Add the buzzword during the school application process to connect your application.
• Your financial support plan for studying should be included as UCAS does not assist with funding applications.
• Provided access to guardians or advisers can be managed through secure nomination assignments.

Step 3: Add Education History

• Students must enter their qualifications starting with secondary school, regardless of pending results.
• The application process requires you to list incomplete courses by showing their start and finish dates.
• All universities require predicted grades which must be added by your referee.
• Your submission should include module results when requested by the institutions you are applying to.
• List resits correctly:

1. Pending resits: The status is indicated as ‘pending’ along with part-time attendance.
2. Achieved resits: Results from repeat exams need individual listing together with their corresponding grades.

Step 4: Complete Employment History

• List five paid employment positions with their respective organizations and responsibilities along with length of service.
• Enter unpaid or volunteer work in your personal statement instead of this section.

Step 5: Select Course Choices

• You can select up to five courses but you can submit applications now for some of them and for others at a later time.
• Universities only view your final selection of colleges after you confirm your offer choices.
• Students applying for medicine, dentistry, veterinary science and those aiming for Oxford or Cambridge have distinct requirements.

Step 6: Write a Personal Statement

• Demonstrate your interest in the study while demonstrating relevant abilities learned through previous experience.
• Length: 1,000–4,000 characters (47 lines max).
• Draft your statement outside of UCAS through a text editor because the application does not provide spell-checking capabilities.
• Proofread thoroughly before submission.

Step 7: Review & Submit Application

• Check all details before submitting.
• Your agreement with the declaration enables UCAS to process your applications.
• The application submission requires your teacher/adviser to provide their reference.
